Each year, the Summer Scripture Seminar assembles a faculty from among the best biblical exegetes and theologians to lead the program. Faculty are drawn from USML, the several theological faculties in Chicago and from universities across the USA. When you attend the Summer Scripture Seminar, you will hear from scholars who literally “wrote to book” on contemporary scholarship. In the coming seminar, we welcome the following scholars as presenters. |

Rev. Jean-Pierre Ruiz, S.T.D. Chair, Associate Professor of St. John’s University, Queens, NY. Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Hispanic/Latino Theology and Associate Editor of the Catholic Biblical Quarterly.
Rev. Msgr. Charles Kosanke, S.T.D. Rector & President SS. Cyril & Methodius Seminary, Orchard Lake, MI. He is the author of “The Encounters of the risen Jesus in Luke-Acts”. He has also published articles in the New Catholic Encyclopedia (2ed.).
Pauline Viviano, Ph.D. Associate Professor of Theology at Loyola University, Chicago. Publications include reading guides for the Books of Joshua, Judges, 1-2 Samuel, 1-2 Kings and Ruth, for the Catholic Study Bible published by Oxford University Press (April 1990) and a commentary on the Book of Genesis in the Collegeville Bible Commentary series
Rev. Robert O’Toole, S.J., S.S.D. Professor Emeritus of Pontifical Biblical Institute. He has published four books and over 50 articles on biblical topics. In September of 2003 he was named the President of the Gregorian University Foundation and continues in that capacity. |
